NBA Playoff Preview - Game #6 Detroit Pistons at Cleveland Cavaliers (Cavaliers lead 3-2) by Ecobika NBA Betting Saturday, 8:35 pm Eastern - TNT
SBG Global Opening Line: Cavaliers PK, Total 173
One of the greatest performances in NBA playoff history happened on Thursday night as LeBron James single handedly carried the Cleveland Cavaliers to 109-107 double overtime victory over the Detroit Pistons in Game #5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. James had 48 points including the Cavaliers' last 25 points. He also had 29 of their last 30 points. "LeBron just wouldn't let us lose," Cavaliers guard Damon Jones said. SBG Global reports that Lebron has the public believing, with most early wagers on the Cavs at home laying the points.
The victory was definitely the biggest in the history of the Cleveland Cavaliers and now puts them in a position on Saturday night to advance to the NBA Finals with a win. James became the first player to score 25 straight points in the postseason "He just did what he felt he needed to do for us to win," Cavaliers coach Mike Brown said. "I don't think he was trying to set any historical mark or anything. He just did what he felt he was supposed to do to help us win. I don't know what he can't do." Cleveland is a 1.5 point favorite with a total of 173.5 at SBG Global.
"We threw everything we had at him," Detroit guard Chauncey Billups said. "We just couldn't stop him. He was hitting everything. Not the dunks and layups, that was easy. But the threes, he was shooting over double teams." James outscored the Pistons 25-19 all by himself in the final 12:17. Last season in the semifinals the Pistons won the first two games at home, lost the next three and won the final two games. They will have to do the same thing this time if they are to advance to the NBA Finals. The problem for Detroit this time is they are facing a very determined LeBron James. "This series just got harder for us," Billups said. "But like I said, we've been in these waters before. We can handle ourselves in these situations. We've got to get one win, period." That may be easier said than done considering the Pistons had every chance to win Game #5 but Billups couldn't hit the game winner and has not looked like a playoff MVP.
The Pistons are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a road underdog. The Pistons are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 road games. The Pistons are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 playoff games as an underdog.
